Lifeline Salzach

Presented within the framework of the cultural initiative "SCHATZKAMMER LAND SALZBURG" this remarkable permanent exhibition introduces the natural and cultural region defined by the river Salzach. The design includes elements of outstanding quality, illustrating the development of the multi-faceted relationship of the river with the people living on its shores between the past and the future.
The Salzach cinema shows a film of outstanding quality produced especially for this exhibition. Running water, as stream and waterfall, awaits exploration. A narrow gorge and a cave can be explored and the landscapes formed by the forces of water discovered with the help of high quality 3D projections. A unique experience is completed with a day-and-night walk through a lowland forest, a visit to the beaver dam, and time travels over the Salzach valley by flight simulator.
