Die Tierwelt Europas

The natural world of our own area appears to be familiar to most people - photos, films and television programmes deliver high quality information straight into our living-rooms.
The direct observation of wild animals is something completely different. The exhibition "Animals of Europe" was designed so as to create the illusion of real-life encounters. Detailed scenes provide instructive insights into the "everyday life" of animals from wild boar to bat.
Special attractions are a large bear cave and a spectacular walk among bats. The exhibition includes also rare sights in Europe: porcupines, wolverines, elk and bison, as well as the Barbary macaque from Gibraltar - Europe's only monkey.
