A whole room on the 1st floor is dedicated to the essential phenomena found in acoustics, from the basics of wave physics to discovering the nature of noise, sound and music and experiments around your own voice.
Special experiments illustrate why there is no sound without air. A particular highlight is the "Feel Mozart“ exhibit: Visitors enter a giant walk-in violin, sit on uniquely designed vibrating armchairs and experience music in three different ways – by feeling, listening to and watching, all at the same time. Finally, a "Jedermann Contest“ allows to check whether the volume of one’s voice would meet the criteria to participate as “caller” in the famous play of “Everyman”…
